Industry Advisory Committees - Expression of Interest

What are Industry Advisory Committees?

Industry Advisory Committees provide advice in relation to training packages and workforce development projects. Industry Advisory Committees gather information from their industry sector, including challenges, opportunities, trends and industry requirements for training packages, or in relation to projects to be undertaken by HumanAbility. Industry Advisory Committees also identify the skills required by industry now and the future.

Industry Advisory Committees will be established in each of the following subsectors:

  • Children’s Education and Care;
  • Health and Human Services;
  • Aged Care and Disability Support; and
  • Sport and Recreation.
A cross-sectoral committee will also be formed, comprising representation from members of the four Industry Advisory Committees.

How can I be involved?

Expressions of interest for participation in an Industry Advisory Committee are being sought from members of HumanAbility, as well as through a transparent advertisement process to industry organisations, businesses, employee and professional associations and, where appropriate, educational providers and regulatory bodies.

Industry Advisory Committees will be established in each of the following subsectors:

  • Children’s Education and Care;
  • Health and Human Services;
  • Aged Care and Disability Support; and
  • Sport and Recreation.

Expressions of interest are also being sought from other key stakeholders who may be included as members or ex-officio members of the IAC, including:

  • Training and education organisations;
  • Regulators and licensing bodies;
  • Government agencies relevant to the industry areas; and
  • State/territory training authorities.
Expressions of Interest close at 5.00pm AEST on Monday 11th September.

HumanAbility collaborates with industry to conduct research, identify job market demands, assess skill requirements, create adaptive qualifications and training packages, and spearhead workforce development initiatives.
