Chief Executive Officer -  National Disability Services


Laurie Leigh is the CEO of National Disability Services, a national association representing disability providers across Australia.
 
Since initially training as a registered nurse in the UK, Laurie has worked across many facets of health and human services, from mental health, safety and quality, primary health, aged care and disability. 
 
Laurie is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and brings many years’ experience of corporate and clinical governance. She is a registered nurse, has a Mathematics BA(Hons) and a Masters in Health Services Management.

As a representative HumanAbility Board Director, Laurie is the Chair of the Aged Care & Disability Industry Advisory Committee. 

HumanAbility collaborates with industry to conduct research, identify job market demands, assess skill requirements, create adaptive qualifications and training packages, and spearhead workforce development initiatives.
