HumanAbility receives further funding to establish new Jobs and Skills Council

We are thrilled to announce that HumanAbility has successfully secured Stage 2 funding from the Commonwealth Government. This funding will enable us to become the jobs and skills council for the vital industries of health & human services, aged & disability support, sport & recreation, and children’s education and care. It is a significant achievement that marks a new milestone in our mission to foster industry growth and champion a skilled workforce for a brighter future.

With the trust and support of the federal government, we will play a pivotal role in advancing education and workforce development across the caring and support sectors. Today, we are proud to unveil our new website, inviting stakeholders to join us in engaging with our work to revolutionise the way we collectively address the issues and challenges facing our industries. Together, we will create programs that advance and develop our vital workforce into the future.

As a jobs and skills council, HumanAbility will spearhead programs that fortify Australia's vocational education and training system, forging collaboration between governments, industry, and education providers. Our areas of focus include strategic workforce planning, development of training products aligned with industry standards, contribution to the implementation and promotion of vocational education and training, and acting as industry stewards to provide invaluable insights into industry issues and opportunities within the national training system.

HumanAbility collaborates with industry to conduct research, identify job market demands, assess skill requirements, create adaptive qualifications and training packages, and spearhead workforce development initiatives.
