Submit an EOI to join a new project Technical Committee

 

We are seeking nominations for Technical Committee members to join our 3 new training product development projects. Technical Committee members inform our projects by:

  • advising on training design, delivery and assessment, industry needs, impacts on learners, implementation issues, drawing on their experience and expertise
  • identifying relevant stakeholders and consumers to include in consultation.

Please complete our Technical Committee nomination form to self-nominate, nominate a colleague or forward to a colleague who you think would make a valuable contribution to the project. Nominations close on Friday 30 May 2025 COB.

 

About the projects

Aged Care, Disability, Leisure and Health Qualification Review (to be completed in September 2026)

Aim: This project will update the qualifications in aged care, disability and leisure and health to ensure they are aligned with current industry needs, regulatory requirements, safety and wellbeing outcomes for clients, and create clear and sustainable career pathways to support existing and future growth in the industry.

Qualifications in scope:

  • CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support
  • CHC43121 Certificate IV in Disability Support
  • CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support
  • CHC43415 Certificate IV in Leisure and Health
  • CHC53415 Diploma of Leisure and Health
  • 11076NAT Diploma of Leadership in Disability Services
Early Childhood Education and Care Qualification Review (to be completed in September 2026)

Aim: This project will review the CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and the CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care and ensure responsiveness to skills, training and regulatory issues identified by Jobs and Skills Australia and the Productivity Commission.

Qualifications in scope:

  • CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
Sterilisation Services Qualification Review (to be completed in May 2026)

Aim: This project will update qualifications to reflect new sterilisation standards and the use of new and complex technology and to meet the needs of industry sectors that require sterilisation services.

Qualifications in scope:

  • HLT37015 Certificate III in Sterilisation Services
  • HLT47015 Certificate IV in Sterilisation Services

Role and function of the Technical Committee

Members will be appointed based on their expertise and experience, not as representatives of their organisation.

To maintain our commitment to broad engagement and inclusivity, wherever possible members of a Technical Committee will not also be a member of one of our Industry Advisory Committees.

The Technical Committee will comprise no less than 8 and no more than 18 individuals.

Approximately 4 meetings are held over the lifecycle of the project. Members will need time to prepare for meetings and read documentation which varies depending on the project length and complexity.
