Ahmed Hassan is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Youth Activating Youth, a leading not for profit organisation based in Victoria that supports disadvantaged and multicultural young people. Under Ahmed’s leadership, Youth Activating Youth has grown from a grassroots initiative into a nationally recognised organisation delivering programs in education, employment, leadership and youth justice across Victoria and beyond.

 

Born and raised in Melbourne’s north, Ahmed draws on his lived experience and deep connection to community to drive meaningful change. He is a respected advocate for youth, social cohesion and multicultural inclusion, with a strong track record of working across government, corporate and community sectors.
 

Ahmed is a member of the Australian Multicultural Council, a Director on the Board of the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation, and was named the 2022 Victorian Young Australian of the Year. He regularly advises on state and national policy and has played a key role in shaping responses to youth crime, employment pathways and community resilience. With over a decade of experience in community development, governance and strategy, Ahmed is known for his ability to build strong partnerships and lead programs that are innovative, evidence based and community driven.

 
 

HumanAbility collaborates with industry to conduct research, identify job market demands, assess skill requirements, create adaptive qualifications and training packages, and spearhead workforce development initiatives.
