Chris Alexander

Chris is the General Manager at AUSactive (formerly Fitness Australia) the peak exercise and active health industry body with over 18,000 members.  

 

Chris serves on the Board of Directors of the International Confederation of Registered Exercise Professionals, as Secretary to the Health & Fitness Industry Standards Council and a member of the HumanAbility Sport, Fitness & Recreation Industry Advisory Council.  

 

He has been involved in program grants with all levels of government, research, education, standards and guideline development for exercise professionals and businesses.  

 

Additionally, over the past 20 years, Chris has continued to practice as an accredited Exercise Physiologist and recently completed his MBA. 

 

HumanAbility collaborates with industry to conduct research, identify job market demands, assess skill requirements, create adaptive qualifications and training packages, and spearhead workforce development initiatives.
