New Companion Volume Implementation Guides (CVIGs) have been developed to support the delivery and implementation of the HLT Health Training Package with a focus on improving consistency, clarity and practical application.
The new CVIGs include guidance on:
- First Aid: provides support on how first aid requirements are interpreted in health contexts, including considerations such as simulation, currency and workplace relevance
- Resources and Equipment: outlines indicative information on facilities, materials and infrastructure which may support delivery
- Work Placement: focuses on considerations for workplace engagement, supervision, evidence collection and learner support.
The CVIGs are informed by industry and training stakeholder consultation to ensure they practical, relevant and adaptable across a range of delivery contexts.
These resources are not mandatory but are intended to offer supportive guidance to help RTOs, trainers and assessors in interpreting training package expectations and applying them in a way that reflects contemporary workplace practice.
They should strengthen confidence in delivery and assessment while supporting flexibility across diverse training environments and they will continue to evolve as further qualifications reviews are undertaken.
