Audiometry Qualification Review Implementation Workshops

During the Audiometry Qualification Review, the HLT47415 Certificate IV in Audiometry and HLT57415 Diploma of Audiometry underwent a comprehensive review to ensure the qualifications continue to align with contemporary industry practice, regulatory expectations, and workforce needs. This review was driven by strong stakeholder feedback and evidence of evolving professional requirements across the audiometry sector, including changes in service delivery models, increased demand for hearing health services and the growing complexity of client needs.

Key changes include:

  • HLT47425 Certificate IV in Audiometry has an increased  total number of units going from 11 to 14 units of competency. Core units increased from 8 to 10 units of competency
  • HLT57425 Diploma of Audiometry has a reduced number of units going from 19 to 17 units of competency. Elective units reduced from 8 to 5 units of competency
  • a summary of foundation skills has been added to both qualifications.
