Optical Dispensing Qualification Review Implementation Workshops

The Optical Dispensing Qualification Review undertook a comprehensive review of the HLT47815 Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing to ensure it continues to meet evolving industry requirements and workforce needs. This review was informed by extensive consultation with industry stakeholders, employers, professional associations, registered training organisations and subject matter experts.

Key changes include a reduction of the total number of units from 14 to 12 and elective units reduced from 5 to 3. A summary of foundation skills was also added to the qualification.

Professional Development

To assist with implementation of the updated qualification, we will run 3 online professional development workshops on the features of the new training products developed. A recording of one of these sessions will be made available on the project webpage for future reference.
